I vividly remember my first conversation with Tril – she called a little more than a month before her wedding to talk to us about being her photographers. She was surprisingly calm for someone in the midst of a whirlwind wedding planning frenzy, and it probably had something to do with the fact that she had just gotten back from spending a few months meditating at an ashram in India. She and I had a lovely conversation, and even though we still hadn’t met in person, it was clear that she had the utmost trust and faith in us, and I knew right then and there that we were going to have a wonderful time working with her and Matt.
Their wedding day was gorgeous, sunny, and warm, and we started if off right with a first look just outside their ceremony venue, Parsons Garden on Queen Anne. After their emotional ceremony, we headed to Kerry Park for some family photos, Gasworks for couple portraits, and then on to Waterways Cruise for a Chinese tea ceremony and dinner reception on their own private cruise.
Tril and Matt, you are so incredibly sweet together, and it’s your love for each other is inspiring. We also enjoyed being able to witness how much energy you invested in making sure that your wedding day was just as much about celebrating and honoring your loved ones as it was about your union. A sign of your true character and genuine hearts. We hope you love your photos, and thank you for much for giving us an opportunity to photograph your day.
Parasols and red floral accents framed the ceremony space and helped to celebrate Tril’s Chinese heritage. I thought it was the perfect pop of color for this Northwest garden!
As part of their commitment for using the earth’s resources wisely, Tril & Matt decided to have a carbon-neutral wedding. They gave their guests trees to plant, and when the trees have grown into full maturity, they will have offset the carbon dioxide used to produce their wedding. These two seriously thought of everything!

Incredible! You two are so very talented.
Wow! The photo of the two of them with the space needle in the background made me gasp. Then I made everyone in the office come see it. It’s absolute perfection. Love the red parasols and flowers!
Beautiful work! I love the shots of them with the skyline in the background. Absolutely Amazing.
Oh so pretty…. Love, love, love the photos of the bride in her beautiful flowing dress! Very nice.
