Rui & Jack’s wedding is a beautiful example of how absolutely perfect a winter wedding in Seattle can be if you don’t let your worries about rain and cold get in the way. These two didn’t want to have a lot of fuss surrounding their day, so they chose to have an intimate wedding of just their closest family and friends at the Edgewater Hotel, a quintessential Seattle hotel that sits right over the water on Puget Sound downtown.
They got ready separately, but then came together for a first look before the ceremony so that they could do some portraits around town before the ceremony. Rui actually purchased two dresses, just in case it was rainy and her dress got dirty during portraits…and it’s a good thing she did! Right as they said their “hellos,” the rain started falling and didn’t really let up until late in the evening. We had so much fun dashing between the car and photo spots, and ducking into alleys and local coffee shops to capture some incredible moments for them.
