Wow, I can’t believe it’s been a month since our last blog post! In that time, we’ve photographed 5 weddings, 5 engagements, 1 private event, recovered from the flu and bronchitis, taken our kayak our for its inaugural run, and gone on a mini vacation to San Juan Island with Airika’s family. All that to say, our “busy season” has arrived and we SO are excited to start sharing what we’ve been up to with you! 🙂
There are some people in this life that leave an impact on you from the very first moment that you meet them, and while a friendship is often born out of our relationships with our clients, it felt like it had already been there for years with Linnea and Chris. We hit it off with them instantly, and didn’t even touch on the subjects of photography and wedding planning until long after we had covered kayaking and fishing, traveling the world, hiking and camping, and our shared love for Christ. We left the initial consult hoping that they would hire us, if for no other reason than that we felt like we were destined to be friends…thankfully, they felt the same way!
We have loved getting to know them over the past months leading up to their wedding and were thrilled to be able to witness their special day. Linnea has a huge heart for teaching, kids, her friends, and just about anyone else she comes into contact with. Chris is an incredible servant, and loves to spend his spare time creating things in his woodworking shop and exploring the outdoors with family and friends. At their wedding, they laughed together, cried together, shared the sweetest vows, embraced the love of family and friends, smashed cake in each other’s faces, and ran through the fields with wild abandon. Their day was infused with personal details – from homemade chalkboard signs and centerpieces, to the “tree of life” thumbprint guestbook (which we never got to sign!), to the local wines and beers hand selected by their families – it was a wonderful, intimate affair.
Chris and Linnea, we loved photographing every single detail and spontaneous moment of your day, and we hope these photos help you relive those memories for a lifetime to come.

And last but not least, thank you to the amazing team of vendors that helped make Linnea and Chris’ day so special: Kyla & Kelly from Bluebird Signature Events who worked tirelessly to ensure their day went off without a hitch, Paula from Paisley Petals who created all of their stunning floral arrangements, La Belle Elaine for Linnea’s gorgeous wedding dress, and the team at Hidden Meadows for making their little portion of the Snohomish countryside so spectacular! We loved working with all of you and hope you love the photos too!  ~ The Popes
What fantastic pictures to be treasured always! Looking forward to seeing them all!
