It’s funny how much things have changed since we first started out as photographers. Back then it was quite rare for people to meet the love of their life online, but now it seems less common for people to just meet randomly in real life. I think that’s what makes Kate & Joe’s “How we met” story so interesting and unique! It all started at the Capital Hill block party, where Joe was hanging out and minding his own business. Out of nowhere, some random person comes up to him and asks if he would like to meet her friend (Kate). Kate had to actually tell it to me the story twice because I was confused as to how she could have possibly met the man of her dreams through a random introduction (by a friend that didn’t even know Joe!). In any case, a few concerts, brewery dates and football games later, these two were an item – frequenting Seattle indy music shows and cheering on the Texas Longhorns and the UW Huskies with a glass of wine or a local brew in hand.
Kate & Joe’s engagement session was on a blustery fall day at Discovery Park in Seattle, and even though it was cold, the autumn light shone through the colors on the leaves brilliantly and made a stunning backdrop for their session. We had so much fun exploring the park, sharing stories of life, love and travel, and creating new memories with these two! Stay tuned, their wedding story is up next on the blog!
