Chris and Michelle’s wedding is coming up in less than two months, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! We photographed Chris’ brother’s wedding (Greg and Gina w/the flying veil) up at Newcastle Golf Club in 2008, and it’s always fun when we get to keep things in the family. πŸ™‚

Thankfully, Chris & Michelle are super fun and energetic, and for their engagement session, we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day! The sun was shining, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, and did I mention that the sun was shining? We started out at the University of Washington since school was out for spring break, and wandered around campus using the gorgeous tress and architecture as our backdrop.

Ahhh shadows, you make me smile.

We popped into the Suzallo Library, one of Airika’s favorite places in all of Seattle,Β to take advantage of its incredible architecture for a few photos. One of my favorite moments was when the librarian broke the silence of the room by announcing the closure of the library over the loud speaker. Judging by the look on Chris’ face, I think he thought he was being called out for smooching his love while others were trying to study! πŸ˜‰

Playing with light and darkness…

We had a little time left, so we also went out to SAM’s Olympic Sculpture Park for a few more photos.

More shadows…what can I say? The sun was shining–we couldn’t resist!

Chris & Michelle, we had a great time hanging out with you, and can’t wait to see you again in just a few weeks! ~Gerald & Airika

Gerald & Airika, these are so awesome! My personal favorite is the one where we’re sitting on the black & white checker board ground! I had so much fun with you guys that day, I can’t wait for the wedding!

LOVE the library shot with all the chandeliers/lamps. Miss you guys…

Michelle and I had such a great time shooting with Airika and Gerald. My personal favorite is the picture at the sculpture park where Gerald was shooting from across the road. The shadows of the sculpture are sweet, and the sunset is unreal. The birds and jet clouds in the sky are pretty cool as well! Thanks Airika and Gerald
